Our Aims

In general women and young people in the rural areas of Tanzania are both vulnerable and disadvantaged. They are often left behind, having less say in their community. SASHITA aim to fully engage with the village people to help eradicate poverty and establish long-term sustainable initiatives.

Clean water

Build a water well to the village to provide convenient access to fresh clean water. Achieving this Initial milestone will in turn free up time for the women and children of the village to become involved in other future projects which we have on the horizon.

Micro-loans

Establish a micro-loan program which will enable women to start small income generating businesses to support their families:

Education

Pay school fees for their children and provide uniforms and books. Ensure adult literacy through an “education for all scheme”:

Volunteers

Recruit volunteers to teach reading & writing to the community.

Self sufficient

Help them to earn a living and give them the ability to manage their households. Allow the young people to grow and develop reliable means to live.
